Top 5 Most Anticipated Games of 2020

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls, and all those that may fall in between!

I am No Time Dad, thank you for stopping by! Today I am sharing my top 5 most anticipated game releases of 2020.

2020…What a Year

Aside from all the negative things going on in the world right now, 2020 has been and seems that it will continue to be, an absolutely stellar year for gaming. Two of the games I was most exited for have already released; Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Animal Crossing New Horizons.

What else is there to look forward to?

Strap yourself in, it’s going to be a wild ride!

Maneater – May 22

Do you love ocean life? Have you ever wanted to be one of the ocean’s most majestic creatures? Do you hate spring breakers?

Well, now is your chance to terrorize humanity as a shark. “Hunt, explore, evolve” is how the trailer describes Maneater.

This game just seems like absolute silly fun. Crazy upgrades and Tony Hawk inspired shark flips. I swear I saw a shark with a freakin’ laser beam in there!

This is a game I will definitely be picking up on its release date. I will put Jaws to shame.

Marvel’s Avengers – September 4

What can I say about this one? It’s Marvel. I’m a Marvel fanboy. It’s SquareEnix. I’m almost a SquareEnix fanboy. SquareEnix has taken some major steps recently in fixing their image.

I hope they nail the multiplayer because I need to save the world with my Avenger friends.

The Final Fantasy 7 Remake is absolutely amazing, and I do look forward to seeing what they do with the Marvel license. I was hyped years ago when they announced the partnership, I am still hyped to this day.

Also, Hulk Smash.

Cyberpunk 2077 – September 17

This is probably the most ambitious title since the original Fable. I remember Peter Molyneux making wild promises of what Fable would be, and being severely disappointed, as was the rest of the community, for what we received.

That was 16 years ago. The boundaries we can push in video games have come a long way and CD Projekt Red is not Lionshead, but I will still approach Cyberpunk 2077 with caution.

We will have to wait and see if the wild aspirations are delivered, and most importantly, if those features are fun.

Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout – 2020

At this point, Devolver could slap their name on literal excrement, and I would probably be hyped for its release.

Now, we have not seen any gameplay and who knows how the current status of the world has impacted its development, however the idea is fantastic.

You’re telling me you’re going to mix MXC with Battle Royale?

Count me in!

Digimon Survive – 2020

The Digimon fandom hasn’t had a really good Digimon game released in far too long. Though Cyber Sleuth checked a lot of boxes, it was still a far cry from the Digimon World series.

Enter Digimon Survive.

I love turn-based tactical RPGs. I love Digimon.

It seems like they are are rally putting their all into this title, and I am hyped!

Honorable mentions

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2

Give me all the TTPRG adaptations.

WWE 2K Battlegrounds

After the severe misses 2K has givien wresling fans on the simulation side of things, this is what we need. Give me that silly arcade action and less of your botched hair animation.

Destroy All Humans! Remake

It’s a classic. They are bringing it back. If I want to terrorize humanity as a shark, you can bet I want to do it as an alien too.

What Games Are You Looking Forward To?

Let me know what your most anticipated games are! Are you looking forward to Cyberpunk 2077 like a majority of the gaming community?

Are there any games that you think are going to be sleeper hits of 2020?

Do you think my choices suck?

Let me know all of your opinions, down in the comments!

I want to give a HUGE THANK YOU for your time.

Remember to laugh, stay kind, and have a wonderful day!
